Alicja is a graduate of Theatre Studies at the State Theatre Academy in Warsaw. In 2012 she completed postgraduate programme "Management in fashion segments" at Kozminski University.
She started her career as a stylist in the monthly magazine "Pani". During 1998-2006 she was the head of fashion department in "Viva!" magazine; giving it an unmistakable edge. She was both the editor and the concept author of numerous photo shoots with well-known personalities and stars who appeared in the magazine. Together with Filip Niedenthal she created the Viva Moda magazine and held the position of its chief editor during 2002-2006.
After leaving Viva! in 2006 she lead the fashion section in the magazine "Joy", a new-be on the Polish market. In 2009 she spent some time in London, where she worked for Sarah Richardson, Cathy Kasterine, and Panos Yiapanis as an assistant during their shoots for iD, Vogue Italia and Another Magazine.
In 2010 she was the fashion director in PANI magazine, and in 2011 fashion director in ELLE Polska.
During 2012-14 she had the opportunity to pursue the career of a Creative Director at TATUUM, a well known Polish retail company. Upon leaving TATUUM she started cooperating with the Polish edition of Harper's Bazaar as a free-lancer. She also continues to write for her blog at natemat.pl
Designed costumes for the "Green Balloon" play, directed by Krzysztof Materna in Narodowy Stary Theatre in Cracow.

She has an extensive experience with the making of commercials.
Alicja cooperated with many directors, to list but a few: Marcin Ziębiński (Plus GSM), Joanna Rechnio (Fortuna, Toma, Netia), Mikael Lipinski (Kubu?), Daniel Kaufman (Link4), Frank Vroegop (Lukas Bank, KLAPS).
Alicja has also prepared costumes for TV programmes (TVP, TVN Style - Style Lesson with Jolanta Kwaśniewska).
Additionally, she was the author of costumes for the dissertation film by Renata Gabryjelska "Szkiełko" in 2007, as well as numerous press and outdoor advertisements (for instance Pantene Pro-V with Natasza Urbańska; Złote Tarasy Campaign).
Alicja cooperates with Polish fashion designers as they work on their collections. She stylized Dawid Woliński's fashion show at Lisboa Fashion Week / Spring 2005.
During 2012-2014 she was Creative Director of TATUUM, Polish fashion brand. She superivised and coordinated the fashion design, visual merchandising and graphic design departments. Created, produced and implemented image campaigns; booked models and artists, negotiated fees. Designed concepts of collections as well as provided guidance to fashion designers responsible for creating clothing. Designed concepts of window displays. Styled image campaigns.
